TL;DR: Rumor is that any fighter that participates in the upcomming EA Sports MMA will recieve a lifetime ban from the UFC as far as contracting goes. Found at mmascraps.net

Also: http://mmapayout.com/2009/06/hayabusa-fight-wear-added-to-ufc-banned-list/

TL;DR: Hayabusa Sportswear, AkA Gramps' favorite brand of MMA clothing/only one he'd probably ever wear if he could pony up the cash, is banned from the UFC.

If the information in the first article is true, we've officially got a monopoly on our hands. Or at least, one huge asshole move after another from the UFC's brass. This is honestly pissing me off. Sure, I'm not in a position where I'd ever get into the UFC or anything, but knowing people who actually could, this makes me pretty damned pissed off. Who the hell thinks that kind of crap is fair at Zuffa? WTF peeps, seriously!

And with the second, The deal is that the UFC is now taking a solid stand against anyone going into Pro MMA at the international level having any kind of scott-free deal on their hands. Pretty much if this keeps going, they're either going to have to pay the UFC some of their cash, or not be sponsored, which is simply not an option.

The closest thing in my realm of experience would be seeing a cut of my freelancing going to the company I just freelanced for. They just got my time and material, and then some of my profits back to them. I'd be paying them to work, which shouldn't really happen. And then, if I decided I was going to go work for someone else, I'd never be able to come back to the last company, even if they were operating in a completely different industry. That's retarded.

Congress, a little intervention on this banning brands thing? Please?
